HydraFacial
HydraFacial is a device that provides medical-grade facial rejuvenation as it cleanses, detoxifies, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates in one single treatment. It is appropriate for all skin types—normal, oily, combination, aging and even sensitive. It also attacks fine line and wrinkles, large pores, and hyperpigmentation.
The HydraFacial is a machine with a handheld device that uses a variety of different tips and skin care solutions (such as chemical exfoliants, antioxidants, and hydrating serums like hyaluronic acid) to achieve amazing results. The spiral design of the tips used in conjunction with HydraFacial’s vacuum technology creates a vortex effect to easily dislodge and remove impurities painlessly and effectively. It simultaneously introduces solutions that exfoliate, hydrate and infuse your skin with antioxidants to leave your skin hydrated and plump.
The Four Steps Include:
1) Cleansing
HydraFacials start with a cleanse by the esthetician, followed by the VortexFusion treatment with a product called Activ4. Activ4 combines exfoliating lactic acid and glucosamine HCI with antioxidant-rich algae that softens and conditions skin.
2) Deeper Exfoliation
To give the skin a deeper exfoliation, two different tips are available — one more aggressive than the other – which are used to deliver a gentle peel solution comprised of glycolic acid and salicylic acid. The physical exfoliation from the tip, along with the chemical exfoliation from the acids, bring quick results without the tingling that you might experience with a traditional peel.
3) Extractions
This step utilizes a different tip and a solution called Beta-HD to soften sebum with salicylic acid. This sucks away blackheads and sebum in open pores to decongest the skin. At the same time, honey extract hydrates and spiraea ulmaria flower extract calms and soothes the skin.
4) Serums
Your cleansed, extracted, exfoliated skin is now ready for an infusion of antioxidants (horse chestnut seed and green tea extracts), peptides (copper, magnesium, and zinc) and hyaluronic acid, which attracts water to the skin and helps keep it hydrated and plump. The proprietary blend, called Antiox, also has arnica flower extract to calm and soothe the skin, and red algae extract to brighten the skin.
Optional HydraFacial Add-Ons:
At the beginning of the facial, you can get mechanical lymphatic drainage that moves lymph fluid out of your face, reducing puffiness and helping to speed toxins out of your system. During the treatment, you can add more powerful serums to focus on anti-aging, problem areas and breakouts, brightening the complexion, and tightening the skin. And at the end of the treatment, you can opt for an LED treatment — red light is used to soothe the skin and stimulate cell turnover, and the blue light is used to kill bacteria if your problem is acne-related.
